Part 5 of my "Heritage" travel campaign.
I visited Fort Morris near Savannah, Georgia, which is a colonial fort that was used during the French & Indian War, American Revolution, War of 1812, and the Civil War.
I also checked out the Battle of Savannah site, which is located in downtown Savannah and is a part of Battlefield Memorial Park. This location commemorates the second bloodiest battle of the American Revolution, in which about 800 allied troops (American & French) fell to the British who were defending it. It was a major British victory that resulted in the War lasting another 4 years.
